SearchLIT.org is a powerful educational tool - designed to conveniently provide literature and supplementary material at your fingertips

SearchLIT.org was created by Good Karma, a non-profit organization promoting literacy and learning among students. The Beck Foundation supports this Web site, and other projects that advocate for literacy in honor of John and Frances Beck, who had long careers in the field of education. Their lifelong efforts were devoted to educating teachers, tutors, and parents in the field of reading.

SearchLIT.org's mission is to advance students' literacy and learning by providing a literacy portal to thousands of online texts, educational links, and teaching materials. The site features a user-friendly design, allowing you to easily find what you're looking for and allowing you to discover new ideas for your lesson plans in the process.
